Effective date: June 6, 2026 · SuChef ("we", "us") operates the SuChef mobile application and suchef.ai websites.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, name, and a hashed password when you create an account.
• Usage data: recipes you view, cook, favorite, and add to shopping lists, to power app features.
• Photos you choose to submit: when you use the "Does this look right?" camera check, the photo you take is sent to our AI provider for analysis and is not stored by us after analysis.
• Voice: voice commands are processed on your device by your operating system's speech recognition. We do not record or store audio.
• Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

2. How we use AI providers

SuChef's coaching, recipe, translation, and photo-check features are powered by third-party AI APIs (xAI, OpenAI, Google). Content you submit to those features (questions, photos) is transmitted to the relevant provider to generate a response, subject to their API data policies. We do not use your content to train models.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the app (recipes, timers, lists, coaching).
• To process subscriptions and send transactional email (e.g. receipts) via SendPulse from [email protected].
• We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we will delete it within 30 days.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls. Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt). No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Children

SuChef is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. International users

If you use SuChef from the EU/EEA, UK, or Israel, you have rights to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
